Worton Parish Council is proud to celebrate everything that makes Worton such a special place - its historic buildings, beautiful green spaces, and strong community spirit.
We support a wide range of activities and initiatives across the village, including the upkeep of playing fields, footpaths, common areas and community buildings.
The council helps deliver local improvement projects, supports volunteer groups and the Wellies maintenance teams. Projects include playground enhancements and environmental projects such as the King’s Copse woodland.
Working alongside community organisations, the council also promotes local events, clubs and activities that bring residents together throughout the year.
Grass Roots Planning Ltd and LVA are proposing up to 50 homes on Worton High Street, opposite Primrose View. Public consultation begins 8 July at worton-proposals.com. The Parish Council has submitted a response to Grass Roots and Worton residents are also encouraged to comment.
To make the current playground much more modern and useful for residents the existing equipment will be revitalised and much improved with many exciting new additions.
